Sport Clips Haircuts Matches a Donation to the PBA Advocacy Fund

Sports Clips Haircuts Founder and CEO Gordon Logan kicked-off the 2011 Professional Beauty Association (PBA) meeting in September in Las Vegas with a $10,000 matching gift to benefit the association’s Advocacy Fund. The PBA is the largest organization of salon professionals with members representing salons, spas, distributors, manufacturers and beauty professionals. Its Advocacy Fund was created to help fund issue campaigns on legislative and regulatory matters important to the industry.

“Supporting the work of the beauty industry is vital to Sport Clips,” said Logan, who also serves as president of the International SalonSpa Business Network. “Our matching gift to the PBA Advocacy Fund is a meaningful way to demonstrate our commitment to those who are on the front lines.”

“For Mr. Logan and Sport Clips to step up and commit is truly amazing and above and beyond what I have seen anyone in our industry do,” said Myra Irizarry, government affairs director of the Professional Beauty Association.

The matching donation made by Logan on behalf of Sport Clips encouraged other organizations at the meeting to support the PBA Issue Advocacy Fund, which generated more than $20,000 in a single day. —Kristen Heinzinger
