In Studio: Izzazu Salon, Spa & Serata

At Your Service

A one-of-a-kind salon in Pittsburgh takes bridal services to another level.

Ask any bride-to-be what the most important element of the wedding process is and she’ll say it’s time. This is especially so when it comes to hair and makeup on the big day. At Izzazu Salon, Spa & Serata in downtown Pittsburgh, a private, loft-like space called the Serata located on the mezzanine level overlooking the rest of the salon focuses on delivering just that. A truly relaxing and unique experience within a beautiful space anchored in time efficiency is the hallmark of Izzazu’s Serata (Italian for “an evening out”).

Offering various packages of services from two months before the wedding to the day of, the space is able to accommodate a bridal party of eight for full hair, makeup, nail and massage services. A salon concierge ensures that everything from catering (a menu approved by the neighboring Capital Grille as well as preferred local caterers) to champagne to last-minute requests happen on time and in a stress-free manner. “Staying on schedule is vital on wedding day,” says Emilio Cornacchione, principal stylist and co-owner. Allowing the bridal party to get ready together in the comfort of their own area without taking over the salon makes for a calm atmosphere and adds to the specialness of the day. Says Cornacchione, “It’s all about having fun and basically setting the stage for the rest of that day.”
