Suzie Bond's L’Oréal Professionnel World Tour

The twice yearly L'Oréal Professionnel's World Tour was held in June and included education from Mazella and Palmer. Fifty artists attended the hands-on education, specialized tours, cocktail parties and dinners throughout the week.  L'Oréal Professionnel Artist Suzie Bond takes us through her experience:

Remembering the L'Oréal Professionnel World Tour

By Suzi Bond

How about a room with this view?  The Westin Vendome was amazing with a location in the middle of everything shopping, easting, touring - just perfect

A short walk from the hotel found us at the Love Lock Bridge. A few of our couples on the tour recommitted their love to each other by placing locks on the bridge and tossing the key into the water for love lasting forever!

Such a romantic city! Arriving into the lobby of the L'Oréal Professionnel Academy Paris was breathtaking to say the least. Greeted by a beautiful French accent and a very familiar image of the latest color collection, Ombré Nature, lit from within and spanning from the floor to the ceiling, we immediately felt right at home.

The stage was elegantly set for the demonstration of the talent behind Mazella & Palmer.  This talented trio held our attention for 2 full days of education in precision cutting, perfect design, flawless finishing, and elegantly placed color!

The theme was ‘Disconnection’ but with a purpose.  Hair was flawlessly blended to accentuate straight, curly and wavy hair.

A demonstration of carving a precision hairline in curly hair, displayed a fashion-forward edge, yet still flaunts soft touchable curls.

A shade from L’Oréal Professionnel INOA Red highlighted accentuated the disconnected shape of the style.

Day 2 began with a haircolor application demonstration.  Each artist attempted to duplicate the look on mannequins.

The battle zone . . . mannequins everywhere! We colored the mannequins with 3 different formulation groups to enhance the disconnected chic style we created on Day 1.

Disconnection with long hair  - the model’s hair transformed from a one-length modern housewife style to seamlessly layered rocker chick in one flawless haircut! Our graduation photo at the academy!  (That's me 2nd row, 2nd from the left)  We are all looking forward to putting these new skills into our repertoire!

The last night we went to dinner and attended a live show at The Lido. There's nothing like celebrating with your industry friends . . . and being able to take what we learned from this trip with us back to the states.  The show was in English and French, featuring many different acts in music, dance, comedy, and physical feats of wonder.  A Must-See for your Paris trip!
