TIGI U.S. Creative Director Thomas Osborn and Global Technical Creative Director Christel Lundqvist teamed up to create this pretty crop with a ’60s vibe reminiscent of Mia Farrow’s style. For a modern-day take, Lundqvist called on a rich color palette, infusing it with lighter hues. “It’s all about playing up femininity with high- fashion hues and a beautiful finish,” Osborn says. Here’s how to get the look:
1. Comb hair into its natural fall. Take a center profile parting from the center forehead to center nape, then take a radial parting from the top crown to the top of the ear on both sides, dividing hair into four sections.
2. Starting at the center of the radial parting on the left side, take a horizontal curved parting, finishing at the center of the low crown. Secure with a TIGI Pro Sectioning Clip. Repeat on the opposite side.

3. Beginning again at the center of the radial parting on the left side, take a horizontal curved parting forward, meeting at the center profile parting 1 inch from the hairline. Secure using a Sectioning Clip. Repeat on the opposite side.
4. Wearing protective gloves, use a block-coloring technique to apply Formula A to the center profile parting at the back. Continue the application by taking vertical slices, working toward the hairline and applying the color from the new growth area to the ends. Repeat on the opposite side.
5. After completing the application, isolate the section with Copyright©olour Meche Strips.
6. Continue the application to the top four sections, taking horizontal slices starting from the low crown and applying Formula A to the first inch of the new growth hair.
7. Apply Formula B to the lengths and ends using a smudging technique, working up the section toward the mid-crown. Repeat the process until all four sections are complete.
8. Process the color for 20 minutes, then emulsify, rinse and remove using Bed Head Urban Antidotes Re-energize Shampoo and Conditioner.
