Wella Professionals' Stylist Ambassadors Predict 2012 Golden Globe Red Carpet Hairstyles

Wella Trend Vision look 'Grace'

Wella Professionals' stylist ambassadors are forecasting the Hollywood hair looks for the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Tune-in to the live coverage of the red carpet arrivals to get tips, tricks and commentary on the favorite looks of the night via Wella's twitter and facebook pages. Wella Celebrity Stylist Andy LeCompte and Colorist Aura Friedman reveal this year's red carpet hairstyles, inspired by Wella Professional's 2012 trends.

"I think that we will see a peak in fluid textures that suggest effortless elegance— very healthy and sleek hair that shows a lot of movement," LeCompte said. "The style will be popular with soft and light tones with a warm glow that emphasizes healthy, shiny hair representative of the Wella Trend Vision look, aptly named 'Grace.'"

To achieve the look, begin with Wella Professionals Enrich Shampoo and Conditioner to replenish moisture and volume. Apply three to five pumps of Velvet Amplifier hair primer to create even surface, and while hair is still wet, apply Flowing Form smoothing balm to enhance manageability. Finish with Shimmer Delight shine spray for a healthy looking blowout.

Wella Trend Vision look 'Roxy'

Color trends, according to Friedman, will be daring and modern. "We can look forward to the soft introduction of this very bold haircolor trend at the Golden Globes this year," she said. "Inspired by the Trend Vision look 'Roxy,' this is an attention grabbing style where color plays an integral role. We will see a shift to cool red tones and bursts of violet— statement-making colors with an edge of sophistication."

Tight curls and gravity-defying shapes can be expected, she said, so it's important to protect and prep hair with a product like Thermal Image Heat Protect Spray. Give the finished look strong-hold with Stay Firm Finishing Spray.
