I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said: “Do not believe everything you think.†Those are very wise words. As someone who lives a self-examined life, I can spend a lot of time thinking about what I am thinking about. Sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes not. Partner that with being a business owner, working with clients and employees, and balancing friends and family. This takes thinking to a whole new level!
It is important to be conscious of what we are thinking, as well as being pro-active about designing our thoughts. Whatever we put attention and focus on in our lives is what we attract and create. What are you thinking?
Here we are in the middle of the year; it is good to take some time to reflect on where you are in honoring your goals and targets for 2009. Are you creating clear goals, aligning with your passion, focusing on what you desire, self-care, gratitude, sharpening your saw, surrounding yourself with positive, inspiring, supportive people and learning how to enjoy the journey. These principles seem simple in theory yet are not always easy in practice. The same goes for focusing on our thinking.
If you are experience “stinking thinking,†then I invite you to change the channel you are listening to. For information on how to do that, click here for five tips that will support you in using your thinking to create the success and fulfillment that you desire and deserve.
