Zotos Raises $10,000 for City of Hope

With a combination of various Breast Cancer Awareness fundraisers in October, Zotos raised more than $10,000, which will be donated to the City of Hope and allocated to help support 2012’s Spirit of Life Award recipient, George Schaeffer.

Zotos began its fundraising with its 9th Annual Cut and Color-a-thon, a one-day event held in the Artistic Institute Salon in Darien, CT. Open to the public, the event attracted local and renowned hair stylists, who volunteered to perform cut and color services at a discounted price. Stylists from salons in the tri-state area along with several elite Joico/ISO stylists helped generate nearly $2,500.

The annual employee raffle was Zotos' most successful fundraising event of the month. Dozens of corporate vendors and community businesses contributed cash and prizes that created prize packages for the company-wide raffle. Employees purchased over $7,000 worth of raffle tickets in hopes of winning prizes such as round-trip airline tickets, gift cards, weekend getaways, a 42-inch HDTV, and iPads. —Kristen Heinzinger
