According to the Color Cosmetics U.S. 2015 report from marketing intelligence agency Mintel, the purchasing landscape is shifting in the brow category. Eyebrow cosmetics are used by a growing number of American women, with 25 percent reporting use of pencils and one in five women wearing eyebrow makeup on a regular basis (19 percent). “Eye makeup is currently the strongest performing segment, driven largely by the popularity of eyebrow-specific products,” says Shannon Romanowski, category manager, health, household and beauty & personal care at Mintel. “We are seeing a shift as consumers gravitate towards fuller brows.” It’s no wonder since bold, defined brows create a more youthful and well- groomed appearance.
