STEPHI MARON HAD HER AHA moment when she needed to get ready for a special family event, but was at a loss in seeking out a professional yet affordable option for makeup application. Seeing a white space in the market, Maron opened the brand’s flagship lounge in West Hollywood, CA in 2011, with subsequent locations opened in Dallas, Newport Beach, Topanga and New York City. “Blushington was needed in the marketplace,” says Maron, founder and CEO of Blushington.
This makeup and beauty lounge aims to provide professional makeup applications at affordable prices in a chic, playful and fun atmosphere to transform the experience from an occasional luxury to one of an everyday necessity, especially for women who are short on time. The customizable Lookbook offers styles such as the “Simply Glowing” which is a dewy, pretty look to the “Life of the Party” which is a sexy and fun look for a night on the town to the “Cutting Edge” which is a bold, straight from the runway trend look. In-store services range from $15 for a brow tinting to $55 for a full-face makeup application with convenient at-home, office or on-location services available as well.
