Designer Direction/Hair Inspiration: Each look was individualized based on the casting.
“Working with Rio is a very particular experience – he’s a very special guy that really feels the vibe of the moment,” said Bb.Global Artistic Director Laurent Philippon. “The casting is really, really diverse with strong personalities. I can’t say that the inspiration is from “this era” or “that story.” It’s the Gypsy Sport tribe having fun in style.”
Styling Methods: Varies; “foamy” afro hair created using Does It All and a pin-curl set technique. Sculptural shellacked finger waves using Bb.Gel. Manga-like spikey mohawks using a new hairspray launching in the fall or Classic Hairspray. Graphic fringes glued on the forehead.
