How-To: Pop-sydelic Inspired

The Anna Sui Fall/Winter 2016 collection was dubbed “Pop-sydelic”—the designer’s inspiration coming from pop art and the swinging ‘60s. Garren, celebrity hairstylist and R+Co Co-founder, created a look for each model that embraced their natural texture. “It’s all about natural movement and allowing the hair to have its own personality,” Garren explained. Mane inspiration came from the slightly undone, pretty styles of the sensational decade with a mood board featuring Jane Birkin, Cher, Anjelica Huston, Yoko Ono and Janis Joplin.

Get the Look:

1. On straight hair, use PINSTRIPE Intense Detangling Spray throughout to help break up the hair and encourage movement. To add more texture, create two loose braids and blow-dry with a diffuser, then take out for a natural wave.

2. On curly hair, add TWISTER Curl Primer throughout wet or damp hair to help seal the curl while maintaining movement. The product encourages the natural wave on soft curls and adds control while eliminating frizz.
