How-To: Sleek Low Pony

Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 2016, hair by Anthony Turner for Bumble and bumble.

HAIR DIRECTION/INSPIRATION: Athleisure, “yoga” hair; sleek, low ponytail with a deep side part.

“The girls have had great haircuts at a lot of the collections this season, but it’s not necessarily what we’re looking for here at Proenza Schouler,” said lead stylist Anthony Turner for Bumble and bumble. “I need something that’s going to take the bangs and short layers away to make the girls feel very uniform. Cityswept Finish, with its hold and its shine, helps me do that.”

STYLING METHODS: Saturate hair with Prep and blow dry into a deep side part. Layer Cityswept Finish throughout and hand rake hair into a low ponytail and secure with elastic. Finish with Classic Hairspray. For models with textured hair, Blow dry hair with Bb.Straight Blow Dry and  Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil and flat iron (Anthony used Sultra tools).

KEY PRODUCTS: Prep, Cityswept Finish, Classic Hairspray, Bb.Straight Blow Dry, Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil
