This Technique Will Help You Master Side-Sweeping Fringe

Whether your client wears their hair short, long, bobbed or cropped, there's a fringe type that's perfectly suited for every style. As of late, side-sweeping fringe is riding the comeback wave and there's a technique that will help stylists master the cut.

In this how-to video, Jesse Linares from the Sam Villa ArTeam shares how to create the perfect side-sweeping fringe by establishing guides on both sides of the face and then connecting the two lines. In his opinion, it's a guaranteed crowd pleaser because you get to involve the guest in the decision-making process. Have your client hold a mirror and give input on the length of the two guides as you place them at various points. Once the length and depth is established, you can give more input on how to soften the area with over direction and elevation.
