First Dyson Beauty Lab Opens in South Florida

Dyson has unveiled its first Dyson Beauty Lab in South Florida at Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour. Dyson’s latest innovations in hair care will now be available to purchase in the brand-new space where Dyson experts will be on hand to educate customers on how to get the most out of the technology and provide styling services.

Personalized Styling

The new home for Dyson showcases Dyson's full range of hair care technology, which is suitable for all hair types and engineered with hair health in mind. The space boasts a luxury wash basin and two styling stations. Saks customers can meet with a Dyson stylist to have their hair styled from wet to dry using the new Dyson Airwrap multi-styler, Dyson Corrale straightener or Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. During these visits, customers also receive hands on education so they can recreate the style at home.

Appointments are priced at $50 and the cost will be waived with purchase of a Dyson product more than $299 at the time of service. Appointments can be booked directly on Dyson.com, on Saks.com or at the Dyson Beauty Lab. One-on-one product demonstrations and consultations are also available free of charge and with no appointment necessary.

Peggy Elsrode, president, Dyson Americas said, “At Dyson, we are on a mission to create technology that supports every hair type and every style with less damage to promote healthy, shiny hair. With the launch of this new salon at Saks Fifth Avenue, we are thrilled to expand our styling services beyond our Dyson Demo Stores in New York and California to the Miami market. We’re looking forward to welcoming women and men in Miami to experience the transformative properties of our technology first-hand.”

Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler

Dyson recently unveiled its best-performing and most-efficient Airwrap yet—the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler. Dyson engineers challenged their own design to miniaturize and multiply the Coanda effect, pioneering a fully customizable styling tool to deliver a range of styles for different hair types, without extreme heat. Next generation styling barrels feature a rotating cool tip to achieve the results formerly achieved with two barrels into one attachment. Re-engineered brush attachments deliver precision shaping with enhanced Coanda performance.

Combining two attachments in one, the Coanda smoothing dryer hides flyaways with no extreme heat and transforms into a powerful dryer with the flick of a switch. A wide-tooth comb attachment, engineered for curly and coily hair, helps to add shape, volume, and length as it dries. The comb teeth are designed with soft curved tips to glide through the hair, with no sharp edges to catch, pull or cause damage.

Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

Engineered for different hair types, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is powerful and fast. The tool uses fast but focused airflow, is engineered for balance in the hand, is quieter than competitors and intelligently controls the temperature to help protect hair from extreme heat damage. Unlike traditional hair dryers, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer measure air temperature over 40 times a second to regulate temperature output. Featuring Dyson’s intelligent heat control technology, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer prevents extreme heat damage, to help protect hair’s shine.

Dyson Corrale Straightener

Suitable for all hair types, the Dyson Corrale straightener features pioneering flexing plate technology, engineered to apply heat and tension evenly across hair strands in each pass, reducing the reliance on heat. Combined with Dyson’s four-cell lithium-ion battery technology, the Dyson Corrale straightener delivers cord-free performance, making it the perfect tool for those who want to care for their hair by reducing heat damage without compromising on style.

Cordfree freedom allows for styling from desk to dancefloor. The Dyson Corrale straightener delivers three precise temperatures, using a platinum sensor that measures temperature 100 times a second. This technology communicates with a microprocessor which in turn controls the heating system to deliver precise, accurate heat.
