ICYMI: There’s a Bunch of Beauty Education $$$ Up for Grabs

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is awarding more than 120K in scholarships this year for cosmetology training and professional continuing education, the industry nonprofit announced.

Most of the PBA scholarships support cosmetology school tuition for students, while some fund advanced education for licensed cosmetologists including stylists/ barbers, nail techs, estheticians, massage therapists, makeup artists, business owners, and “solopreneurs.”

PBA scholarship programs are sponsored by its Joseph L. Weir Fund and member companies such as Milady, Schwarzkopf Professional, Moroccanoil, My Salon Suite, and Rosy Salon Software.

Christina Jackson, an esthetician in Berea, OH, said the PBA scholarship she won last year allowed her to enroll in oncology training. “I’ll be able to provide skin-care services to cancer patients/ survivors safely and effectively,” she says. “I am so honored and grateful I was chosen to receive this scholarship.”
