Twain Taylor Provides Luxury Services in a Mobile Barbershop

Twain Taylor provides luxury services to A-list clients in his mobile barbershop.

As his roster of celebrity clients grew, barber Twain Taylor noticed that more of them were requesting private house calls. By 2013, growing weary from the commute between the salon and his clients’ homes, Taylor decided to close his salon in Studio City, CA and open Luxury Mobile Barbershop. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van became the ultimate “rolling man cave” complete with high-quality speakers, five HD televisions, Internet, video games and a wet bar. The centerpiece is the one-of-a-kind, tufted leather seat nicknamed the “million-dollar chair” in honor of the millionaire clients who have occupied it. Prices range from $250 for the Van Gogh (straight edge razor shave) to $550 for the Pablo Picasso (haircut, shampoo, shave and mani/pedi). “My business is set up just as nicely as a Beverly Hills establishment,” says Taylor. “And what other barber can pull up to a private airport and give a client a haircut right at the terminal?”
