GlossGenius is taking salon and spa business management to the next level with flexibility and new payment options (like this), and is now offering a Tap to Pay on iPhone feature.
Tap to Pay on iPhone allows beauty and wellness businesses to easily and securely accept all types of in-person, contactless payments, directly on the iPhone and without additional hardware or accessories. The feature is built into the GlossGenius app, so salons can accept contactless debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and other NFC digital wallets.
For customers who are uncertain about the new technology, you can assure them that their data remains private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple doesn't store card numbers on the device or on servers.
In addition to being a high-tech option, the Tap to Pay feature allows a seamless and speedy checkout. Keeping clients waiting at checkout can be nerve-racking and awkward. Rather than asking guests to enter their payment information at booking or key in their card details at the end of the appointment, you can quickly and securely accept payment with a tap on your iPhone screen.
If your business needs a physical reader, the app will work with your GlossGenius Chief Money Machine card reader to give you additional flexibility.

If you already use GlossGenius for payments, you’ll immediately be able to accept any touchless payment method when you’re using an iPhone XS or later device running iOS 15.5 or newer.

Open GlossGenius on a compatible iPhone and select a client to check out

Present your iPhone to the customer

Your customer holds their contactless card horizontally or hovers their phone or Apple Watch at the top of your iPhone, over the contactless symbol

When you see the “done” checkmark, the transaction is complete
