This October saw salon business expert and founder of The International Salon Business School, Liz McKeon, facilitating a 3-Day Business Owners Retreat’ for Wella RED Business Owners at Wildhive Callow Hall in the Derbyshire, UK countryside, where attendees were able to take time out from their busy work lives away from distractions, and totally immerse themselves in what they want for themselves and for their business.
It has been proven that we are more inclined to learn when relaxed and in a relaxed and stress-free environment! And these three days surpassed that expectation, providing salon owners with classroom and networking opportunities, while at the same time the chance to chill out, relax and take time away from their business to reflect, plan and prepare for the next 12 months.
Although Liz’s retreats are classroom based and business focused, the retreat program included a number of fun activities—wake up yoga, cycling with Liz, a pottery making class and a vision board session, in addition to a number of workshops sessions, exploring what business owners want to accomplish and mapping out plans to achieve personal and business goals.

I am 100 percent convinced that there is serious merit in ‘sometimes the only way to move forward is to retreat!’”
