So you've started working on your own productivity as a salon owner. Great! Now what about your team?
Good team management involves clear performance guidelines and a healthy working environment. These best practices make it easy to measure productivity, set and meet goals, and create the right atmosphere to cultivate salon superstars.
Set Individual Goals & Targets
Everyone working in your salon needs clear, realistic performance goals that are understandable, attainable, and measurable. All team members should know precisely what is being asked of them when they show up to work, and what it takes to advance.
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Set up individual KPIs for metrics such as rebookings, retail sales, and services. During the course of your day, regularly check the KPIs and keep track of progress, so you can catch issues and make corrections quickly. Always celebrate successes when goals are hit.
Take a Salon Temperature Check
Look at your salon critically. Is it a healthy work environment? If not, making improvements there is your top priority. Negative dynamics take a toll on your team and are productivity killers. When your team feels happy, fulfilled, and supported, their positivity overflows onto clients.
