Progressions Salon Hosts Fundraiser for Pediatric Cancer

Progressions salon spa store is hosting a Fall anniversary fundraiser to benefit JUST TRYAN IT, a nonprofit organization helping families with a child undergoing pediatric cancer treatment. The salon is celebrating 39 years of business at their Nebel Street location in North Bethesda, Md. Founded in 1984 by successful businesswoman and entrepreneur Cindy Feldman, Progressions is a prestigious full-service salon, spa and retail store servicing the Washington, D.C. area.

JUST TRYAN IT (JTI) was founded in 2010 to positively impact the lives of families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer by providing financial assistance, education and navigation. The founders also wanted to engage kids in helping other kids. Through children’s triathlons, JTI empowers healthy kids to seek out pledges and raise awareness of the many struggles faced by families with sick children.

The JUST TRYAN IT organization is near and dear to the Progressions team. Stylist Megan’s 14-year old son Blake was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2022. As Blake courageously fights his battle, his family became involved with JUST TRYAN IT last fall to help support other families like his.

Each year to celebrate Progressions’ anniversary, the team selects a charitable cause to support. This year, Progressions is hosting a special 39 Years/39 Baskets Raffle through September 30th. The fundraiser will benefit JUST TRYAN IT. Gift baskets valued from $100 to $300 are being raffled, and tickets can be purchased at $5 each or five tickets for $20 by calling the salon at (301) 231-8757 and online at progressions.com. Raffle winners will be contacted by phone in October.

“JUST TRYAN IT raises awareness of the challenges faced by families with a child undergoing cancer treatment,” notes Cindy Feldman. “With our 39 Years/39 Baskets Raffle, the Progressions team wholeheartedly supports this worthy organization and especially the challenges faced by team member Megan and her family.”

Feldman is the founder, owner and business director of Progressions salon spa store. Feldman has grown Progressions salon to a 9,000-square-foot retail space, and manages over 40 stylists, colorists, manicurists, nail technicians, estheticians and customer service.
