Cosmetology campuses in Illinois and Georgia have been named the 2023 Golden Schools of the Year by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS).

AACS—one of the nation's largest and oldest non-profit associations focusing on cosmetology education—awarded its top annual honor to Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Bridgeview, IL; Paul Mitchell The School in Esani, GA; and Pivot Point Academy in Bloomingdale, IL.

Its "Golden School Awards" recognize cosmetology schools across the U.S. in the categories of Advocacy, Community Involvement, Facilities, Legacy Alumni, Marketing Innovation, (Job) Placement, School Culture, and Student Salon and Spa, with best-in-show awards going to the Golden Schools of the Year based on campus size.

Tricoci's Bridgeview campus won the first-place award for Facilities as well. It's the cosmetology school group's second year in a row to be named a "Golden School of the Year."

"Being honored as the School of the Year'for the second consecutive year ... is a testament to the commitment exhibited by our educators, students, and staff," said Nate Swanson, chief executive officer at Tricoci University of Beauty Culture.

"It highlights our dedication to delivering the highest quality education and empowering our graduates with the skills, knowledge and professionalism they will need to thrive in their careers."

Tricoci's campus in Bloomington, IN won the 2023 top honor for Placement, while Paul Mitchell's Tulsa campus was awarded first place for Legacy Alumni.
