How to Create a Classic Curled Bob

When working long hours on set with VIPs, it’s imperative to create styles that have serious staying power. Jada Jenkins (@jadajenkinsco) Mizani Artist, L'amour de Rose salon owner and Sam Villa ambassador, recently styled Mia Thornton for Bravo’s Real Housewives of Potomac reunion show.  She says the pairing of Mizani products to smooth and combat humidity combined with building a texture foundation with Sam Villa tools was the perfect combination for the 15-hour day.

“I felt Mia needed something off the shoulders because of the detail in her dress and bobs are classic, timeless, but also really fun!” Jenkins said in a press release.

  1. Shampoo to help smooth natural hair and control humidity.
  2. Blow-dry straight with a paddle brush.
  3. Use the Sam Villa Artist Series Cordless Clipper (coming soon) and cutting comb to establish length, followed with blending shears to soften ends and remove bulk.
  4. Straighten hair line with a  flat-iron.
  5. Curl hair with a Marcel wand to create a  solid curl.
  6. Lock in the style with anti-humidity spray.
  7. Let curls set.
  8. Use a wide-toothed comb to gently comb curls into a soft wave.
