How to Recreate These Vacation-Inspired Braids from NYFW

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and there is no shortage of hair and makeup inspo. Earlier this week, Australian luxury brand Bronx and Banco debuted its new Tulum-inspired collection full of high-end pieces that are perfect for your clients' next vacation, paired with one of our favorite easy-to-recreate hairstyles, braids.

Here, Gary Baker, UNITE Hair's creative director and lead hair stylist for the show, is sharing the full product breakdown and how you can translate the runway-ready hair to real life.

  1. Depending on your clients' hair type and oil level, prep with the U:DRY Dry Shampoo formula of your choice (ClearHigh or Plus+) to instantly refresh hair, neutralize odor and keep oils in check.
  2. Next, rub CONUNDRUM Paste between the palms of your hands and begin to create your braids. The styling cream adds a moldable texture and leaves a natural finish to the look. Then, use SECOND Day to tame any flyaways and frizz.
  3. Once you have your braids braids, spray TEXTURIZA Spray throughout to add volume, texture and fullness, plus it provides thermal and UV protection.
  4. Finish off the look with GO365 Hairspray to keep the style in place all day and night. Whether you’re on the runaway or getting ready at home, this buildable, non-flaking formula will keep flyaways at bay.
