Sam Villa Headlines All-Star Education Lineup at International Beauty Show-NYC

Hairstyling icon Sam Villa will bring his award-winning salon education skills to the International Beauty Show in New York, heading up a roster of renowned beauty instructors teaching diverse classes, demos and workshops from March 3-5.

Villa, whose eponymous brand focuses on professional education and state-of-the-art tools, is the 2021 NAHA Educator of the Year, an inductee into the Hair Awards USA Hall of Fame, and 2017 NAHA Lifetime Achievement Award honoree.

He and fellow educator Roger Molina will demonstrate a creative layering and texturizing approach fusing classic foundations on March 3, and will teach the Master Class “Hairvolution: Shaping The Future of Haircutting” on March 4. Molina is a master stylist, platform artist, and Sam Villa ArTeam member.

Joining them as education headliners is Andis Education barber instructor John Mosley, the 2022 NAHA Educator of the Year, teaching “Systematic Cutting” on March 3.

  • Candy Shaw – Trained in Paris, Shaw is a global authority on balayage education. She will be teaching the courses “The Power of the Paint Brush,” “French Cutting,” and “Painting Balayage.”
  • Monaé Everett – The celebrity hair stylist, author, and leader of the Texture Style Awards competition will be teaching a Master Class on “High-End Hair Styling” as well as classes on “Red Carpet Curls and Coils” and “The Biggest Mistakes Hairstylists Make During Photoshoots.”
  • J Ladner – An accomplished hair and makeup artist, podcast host, and education director who has worked in film, television, theatre, print, and digital media, J will teach “The Efficiency Takeover,” “Master the Art of Placement & Patterns,” and “Depth Contrast Coverage.”
  • Gilad Goldstein – A member of the Ulta Design Team, Gilad creates online salon education for stylists worldwide. She will be teaching “Haircut Trends on Social Media,” “The Art of Layering,” and “Mastering Short Haircutting.”
  • Nina Tulio – The industry-leading salon business consultant, speaker, and educator will be teaching the courses “Are Your Service Prices Working For You or Against You?”, “Make More Money Without Attracting New Clients,” and “Is Your Pricing Structure Hurting Your Business?”
  • Ben Brown - The international left-handed cutting educator and owner of BBEducation will appear at Hairbrained LIVE! on March 3 and will teach “Core Cutting Principles” and “The Ben Brown Signature Bob.”
  • Lupe Voss – Longtime salon owner and passionate educator/ coach, Lupe has helped colorists worldwide to flourish in their career. She’ll be at Hairbrained LIVE! and teach “Dimensional Blonding.”
  • Oliver Adams – Known as “The Kolor King,” Oliver owns Splash Studios Inc. in two states, and is a Top Artist for Clairol Professional. He's teaching “Curl College: The Business of Hair” and “Texture Trends,” and will collaborate at “2024 MYAVANA Trends” and “The Complexity & Fluidity of Hair Texture, Type & Condition.”
  • Collin Martin – His unconventional approach to hair is said to “bring the avant-garde to the people” via multi-functional cuts and 3D sculpting. He's teaching “Retro/Modern Shag: Two Looks” and “Retro/Modern Shag: Two Looks, One Haircut.”
  • Wayne Tuggle – Looks by this “rockstar of hair” have appeared in Vogue, Glamour, and Us Weekly. He’s teaching “Head Shape Hair Cutting.”
  • Dawn Braley - Podcaster, educator, hairstylist, & mental-health advocate, Bradley is teaching “Three Steps to Weeding Out The Wrong Clients,” “How To Confidently Enforce Your Policies,” and “From Zero To Fully Booked In Under 12 Weeks.”

As the nation’s longest-running event for beauty professionals, the International Beauty Show connects salon owners and artists with advanced education plus innovative brands, techniques, products, and services available at exclusive show-floor discounts. 

Registration allows for access at no additional charge to IBS’s sister show, the International Esthetics, Cosmetics, & Spa Conference, held concurrently at the Javits Convention Center from March 3-5.

Classes are free or reduced rate for attendees. Registration is available to industry professionals only.
