AAVRANI Expands From Skin Care to Launch Hair & Scalp Line

Another player in the growing movement toward the "skinification" of hair, luxury skin-care brand AAVRANI has launched a hair product line in a collab with actress/ comedian and YouTube creator Lilly Singh.

The collection consists of four products and a limited-edition gift set with a major focus on scalp health. AAVRANI, which began formulating the hair-care collection in 2020, gave exclusive rights to Sephora to carry the products.

Founded by investment banker-turned-beauty entrepreneur Rooshy Roy in 2018, the AAVRANI brand was created to merge Ayurvedic principles, rooted in her Indian heritage, with cutting-edge research. Its products combine traditional ingredients like turmeric, neem, and ashwaganda with modern technology such as a patented bond complex and turmeric stem cells.

AAVRANI products are color-safe, vegan, cruelty free, and pregnancy- and nursing-friendly.

Roy, a longtime fan of Singh, reached out to the Emmy-winning entertainer years ago for a potential collaboration. 

"I've been on TV shows. I've done a TED Talk, but it doesn't matter," Singh joked in an Instagram Reel promoting the collaboration. "Ever since I started using AAVRANI, my hair has completely stolen the spotlight.

"People used to love me, but now they just love my hair."

The line's new products include: 

  • Hair & Scalp Recovery Oil: A multi-purpose hair and scalp oil that strengthens, combats frizz, nourishes scalp, and repairs breakage. 
  • Dry Scalp Rescue SerumA leave-in anti-dandruff treatment that relieves irritation and dry scalp, severe itchiness, flakes, and congestion. 
  • Strength & Density Duo Mini Gift Set: This limited-edition hair & scalp duo includes a strengthening hair oil and a growth serum to improve hair density and reduce hair loss.
