3 Tips for Controlling Cowlicks

Every hairstylist knows the struggle and frustration of encountering cowlicks in the crown in the middle of a haircut. Watch Andrew Carruthers, Education Director for Sam Villa, as he shares three tips for managing swirls and cowlicks during both cutting and styling.

1. Cut hair dry to see it in its natural state.
2 Teach guests excellent blow drying skills to manage cowlicks when styling—including product application to soften and hold, and wrap drying.
