Celeb Stylists Share Hollywood's Hottest Hair Trends

With so many crush-worthy celebs in the limelight, there's no shortage of inspiration when it comes to beauty in Hollywood. With hair especially, no matter what color or style your client wants, there's a good chance an A-list celebrity has already tried it out.

So, what's hot in Hollywood hair at the moment? Better yet, what will your clients be asking for in the coming months? In terms of haircolor, celebrity colorist Rita Hazan told Refinery29 that it's all about sunkissed strands this summer. In the interview, Hazan says, "I'm not seeing too much of that single-processed bleach. Instead, the golden highlight is more of blonde that someone would assume you just picked up from a beach vacation—it's soft and subtle, but there's a glow." You heard it ladies, sometimes less is more.

Celebrity colorist Cassondra Kaeding piggybacks Hazan's statement about sunkissed locks, but she's also a big fan of redheads. "Reds are giving us a lot of flare in Hollywood right now," Kaeding says. "I'm also seeing a lot of what I call 'berry blondes'—strawberry blondes with strong golden tones."

On the style front, hairdresser and educator Ted Gibson is saying so long to beach waves. In the next couple of months, Gibson predicts poker-straight strands will steal the show. "Hair is so exciting at the moment," Gibson says. "It's all about the individual, but one of the biggest trends in Hollywood is the super straight bob—with or without bangs."

Celebrity stylist Justine Marjan knows a thing or two about those sleek strands Gibson is loving. With clients like Olivia Culpo, Chantel Jeffries and Ashley Graham, Marjan is constantly posting Instagram pics of shoulder-grazing bobs and pin-straight hair, and in her opinion, those styles are here to stay. "I'm seeing a lot of layered cuts, but also blunt ends with internal layers," Marjan says. "Really clean, modern cuts are in." On the opposite end of the spectrum, Jen Atkin, celebrity stylist and founder of QUAI Haircare, is seeing a lot of natural curl in Hollywood this summer. "It gets you out the door so much quicker, and so many girls just don't have the time." Who doesn't love a little extra time to enjoy summer activities?

Don't get too comfortable though, as soon as the seasons change we're bound to see an entirely new set of hot hair trends. Stay tuned!
