With some of the biggest names in Hollywood on his client roster, celebrity stylist Bryce Scarlett is always one step ahead when it comes to hair trends. As the Summer season starts to wind down, American Salon caught up with Scarlett to chat about this year’s hottest trends, end-of-summer haircare and the two products he can’t live without.
AS: What hair trends were most popular this summer?
I’ve been seeing women embrace their natural hair textures more than ever! This trend is especially popular with women who have very long, almost waist-length, hairstyles.
AS: What trends do you think will carry over into the fall?
Transitioning into fall, we can expect to see women continue to embrace their natural hair textures. However, with the cooler weather, the occasional straight blowout will definitely be added to the mix. Personally, I’m looking forward to very straight, flat ironed, hair for this fall.
AS: What are your go-to styling products to beat the end-of-summer heat?
At the end of summer, I like to up my hair mask game to combat damage from the sun and salt water. Using hair masks regularly also helps prepare hair for the increased heat styling that comes with fall fashion moments.
AS: What are your personal favorite beauty products?
Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner! I love the beautiful texture it leaves, even after I let my hair air dry. It’s a go-to of mine, and I’ve used it for years!
