Color How-To: Lived-in Blonde

When a client says they want a natural-looking, lived-in blonde, think high-contrast tones and pieces, lots of light and a soft shadow root. Here, Master Colorist and Education Director, Michael Kelly (@michaelkellycolouristused a mix of highlights and balayage, to create a sun-kissed blonde that remains effortless.  

Get the Look:

  1. Highlight and balayage. 
  2. Create a soft Redken root shadow using Redken Color Gels 9N 8GN
  3. Apply an all over gloss of Redken Shades EQ 09V + 000 + Olaplex No.1 water treatment.
