If your client finds their brunette color boring, this natural-looking balayage by Pulp Riot platform artist, Doug Theoharis (@doug_theo) is bound to make them think again. Incorporating a perfectly blended shadow root, this subtle color not only brightens brunette tresses, but also adds dimension and shine without hi-contrasts. Try it on hesitant first-timers, clients looking for a special occasion color or brunettes who like to keep it simple and classic.

Get the Look:

  1. Balayage using Pulp Riot #blondeaf lightener.
  2. Using a mixture of all Pulp Riot’s toners; 1oz natural- 1” + silver- 1” + violet, apply one part color plus two parts 6 volume to roots for five minutes.
  3. Finish by pulling the color through to the ends, and process for another seven minutes.
