Ellen DeGeneres' Haircolor Catastrophe Is a Major Learning Opportunity

Ellen DeGeneres (@theellenshow) has been sporting a blonde pixie since the start of her hit talk show, but these days it's looking a bit shorter and brighter. Why?

"I had my hair done over the weekend—and by 'the weekend,' I mean the entire weekend," she said. She tried a new colorist without a thorough consultation, and decided to save some time by requesting a single-process blonde. It didn't go as she planned, and to use her words, the result was "not good." To get the desired shade, the colorist repeated the bleach-and-tone process once more, which ultimately caused serious damage (colorists, this is a perfect example to share with clients who ask for an immediate dark-to-light transformation). Luckily, her tried-and-true hair team saved the day. Check out the video below to see how.
