Inside the Millennium Business Mastery Conference

BY LAUREN BANNISTER

Software management company Millennium Systems International hosted its annual educational conference, Business Mastery, for the beauty and wellness industry earlier this month in Miami. This year, the educational experience featured over 40 different sessions with a business-centric focus. Attendees had the chance to learn about revenue-building strategies, leadership tactics, the intricacies of social media, how to build healthy retail plans for salons or spa and more.

Leading each of the sessions was a variety of the industry’s top educators including founder and CEO of Strategies Neil Ducoff, principal at Spa Gregories Angela Cortright, international business leadership speaker Jason Everett, founder and CEO of BeauteeSmarts Carol Phillips, and author and founder of Cool Beauty Consulting Bennie Pollard. John Harms, founder and CEO of Millennium, also hosted his own session called “Motivating Your Team Toward Milestones: Goal Setting in Meevo 2.” A big part of Business Mastery was promoting Millennium’s newest Meevo 2 growth platform, which offers cloud-based technology to help run and grow businesses or franchises.

“It was so important when we built Meevo 2 Goal Setting that we could set monthly benchmarks that would be intelligent enough to derive weekly and daily goals,” Harms said in a statement. “Helping our clients learn how to implement and monitor it is exciting, as it will help drive the right behaviors that lead to success.”

Along with the technology-specific sessions, the conference hosted peer discussions-based roundtable sessions like Success in Leadership with Millennium COO Matthew Scudder and a Revive and Thrive Roundtable with VP of Enterprise Sales Robert Maconi.

Business Mastery was rounded out with a concierge-style TechBar and SalesBar where attendees could utilize breaks to speak with members of the Millennium team on shortcuts or add-ins for their software. Amid all the hard work and learning, guests were treated to happy hours and even a Havana Nights-themed party night.
