Keratin Complex Partners With Celebrity Stylist, Virginie Moreira

New York Fashion Week recently wrapped up and one of the highlights of it was undoubtedly the Tommy Hilfiger show. Real-life models and virtual creatives took to the physical and digital runways, bridging IRL and URL worlds, for a truly immersive and innovative event.

Keratin Complex partnered with celebrity stylist extraordinaire, Virginie Moreira, to help create hair styles that embodied not only the Tommy Hilfiger woman and man but the experiential event itself. Clear hair trends emerged—and still looked fabulous despite the downpour of rain during the outdoor show—included side ponytails, double twists and amazing textured looks that underscored the diversity of looks and hair types of the models.

“Tommy Hilfiger is an iconic brand that certainly didn’t rest on its laurels. The hair looks designed by Virginie were completely in sync not only with the event, but with our Keratin Complex ethos of providing beautiful hair every day to everyone—no matter the hair’s texture or fabric,” commented Zoe Hyams, senior vice president marketing and PR, Keratin Complex. “It was the perfect example that beautiful, healthy hair is always on trend.”

Keratin Complex shares how to get some of the amazing hair looks shown on the runway:

Side Ponytail: Virginie prepped the model’s hair by applying a small amount of Keratin Complex Infusion Keratin Replenisher (4 oz. / $43 MSRP) to mid-shafts and ends of completely dry hair. Next she applied a generous amount of Keratin Complex Volumizing Foam (8 oz. / $24 MSRP) to base of hair and used fingers to blow-dry hair back until dry. She then applied Keratin Complex Molding Paste (5 oz. / $24 MSRP) around hairline and work product into hair with fingers (or wide brush if you want to) while creating a ponytail pulled to the side of the head. Add moveable texture to the ponytail by spraying through Keratin Complex Texturizing Spray (5 oz. / $24 MSRP) throughout the ends. Finish with a light mist of Keratin Complex Flex Hold Hairspray (9 oz. / $26 MSRP).

Two-Stranded Twists: This was a standout hair look during the show with beautiful texture and burst color. Prep hair by dampening it generously with Keratin Obsessed Multi-Benefit Treatment Spray (5 oz. / $26 MSRP) throughout the hair. Start by sectioning and applying Keratin Complex Infusion Keratin Replenisher (4 oz. / $43 MSRP) from mid-shaft to ends and layer with Keratin Complex Volumizing Foam (8 oz. / $24 MSRP). Split the section into two halves and twist one section over the other and continue the motion from base until you reach the ends of hair. Using a dab of Keratin Complex Styling Lotion (5 oz. / $24 MSRP), twirl the ends into a curl with your finger to lock in each twist. Continue until the whole head is complete. When runway ready, carefully undo the twists starting from the bottom and use fingers to separate. For extra volume, you can use a wide tooth comb and pick the roots. Finish with Keratin Complex Shine Spray (3 oz. / $24 MSRP) and Keratin Complex Flex Hold Hairspray (9 oz. / $26 MSRP).

Modern Wave: Winnie Harlow looked classic, preppy and yet edgy with a modern version of Veronica Lake wave. Prep the hair by spraying Keratin Obsessed Multi-Benefit Treatment Spray (5 oz. / $26 MSRP) from base to ends of dry hair and comb through. Start by sectioning the hair. Twist and wrap hair around a curling iron and hold for a few seconds. Use Keratin Complex Flex Hold Hairspray (9 oz. / $26 MSRP) over the hair to help set waves while they cool. Finish by gently brushing and pulling the top half of the hair back and securing with pins. Use Keratin Complex Molding Paste (5 oz. / $24 MSRP) on fringe to help secure back in place. Use Keratin Complex Shine Spray (3 oz. / $24 MSRP) for overall shine on the finished look.

VIP guests at the event included Travis Barker, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Shawn Mendes, Kate Moss and John Legend. Inspired by Warhol’s legacy of celebrating pop culture and creative expression, the event brought together leaders from the worlds of fashion, music, art, beauty and entertainment under one roof.

“Welcome To Tommy Factory – The Making Of A Fashion Show. A homecoming to our creative heart, this Fall 2022 we pay tribute to Andy Warhol’s iconic NYC factory, where he brought together fashion, art, music and entertainment. From our new TH Monogram designed in partnership with Fergus Purcell to our boundary-breaking collaboration with British designer, Richard Quinn, this Fall we’re colliding the classic with the new to light up what’s next. Remixing traditional Americana codes with a contemporary, streetwear-inspired twist. Clashing bold pop colors, reimagining proportions and restyling heritage classics in unexpected ways. This is modern prep, for all. An inclusive celebration of pop culture and creativity, across all worlds from IRL to URL—this is Tommy Factory.” —Tommy Hilfiger
