Look of the Day: Aqua Melt

GRACE DALGLEISH (@GRACEDALGLEISHX), A HAIRDRESSER WITH BROOKS AND BROOKS IN LONDON

Classic Blue is Pantone’s Color of the Year and is set to be a huge trend in 2020. The key is to create a clean pre-toned canvas so the blue tones stay cool, reflective and fade evenly.

Grace Dalgleish first pre-toned with a steel ice toner, adding a dot of black to give the base a metallic reflect. Then she visually mixed Colorful Hair by L’Oréal Professionnel in Mint Green, Yellow Sun and Caribbean Blue, diluting with Clear each time and layering each shade to create multiple aqua hues that melt.
