New Shears Launch Comes With Pledge to Plant Trees

A range of shears created for eco-minded stylists is now available in North America following an exclusive deal struck between Sustain Beauty Co and Leaf Scissors.
The Leaf Black Edition Shears are made using high-grade 440c Japanese steel and titanium coating and come with a mid-range price ticket of $340.
Leaf Scissors has also pledged to plant 10 trees for every product it sells, a promise that has already led to more than 77,000 trees being planted since the brand launched in 2019.
Stephen McManus, a hairdresser and educator before he set up Leaf, said they spent six months in design to nail down the ergonomics so the scissors would feel like an extension of one's hand "and let you explore your creativity with freedom and expression." He said he was also determined his company "would have a sustainable purpose and also be affordable for any stylist.”
While the 440c steel and titanium coating ensure they keep their edge for longer, Leaf Black Edition Shears also come in a range of sizes with both left and right options. All shears are delivered in plastic-free ECO boxes made from 90% recycled material.

Sustain Beauty Co will start by offering the Black Edition range of scissor, texturizing scissor and uniquely designed feather razor, all part of Leaf Scissors’ best-selling product range.
