Becoming a finalist in the Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge is no easy feat. Competition is fierce, which is why we’d like to send a big shout-out to Corinne Brown of Salon Circa in Seattle, Washington; Harley Lobasso of Hair by Scott & Company in Delray Beach, Florida; and Samantha Cosley of Cortello Salon in Jacksonville, Florida, who will represent the United States at Global Zoom in Las Vegas this October. Hundreds of colorists from around the country sent in entries in one of three categories— Creative Colorist, New Talent Colorist and Partner Colorist—around the theme of Traditional Rebels, a celebration of stunning color combinations and tribal influences. In June, the applicants were narrowed down to 15 semi-finalists by a prestigious panel of industry experts before the three U.S. Gold finalists in each category were selected. The hands-on competition gives contestants the opportunity to prove their creativity against other finalists from around the world and to earn the ultimate global title.
