Although balayage has been around for years, it continues to be one of the most requested color techniques in salons. Why? The free-handing technique is low maintenance, customizable and suitable for all hair colors. Seriously, what more could a client want?
Even though we tend to see more balayage clients in the summer when everyone is after sun-kissed tresses, more and more clients are requesting warm-toned balayage. Hairstylist and educator Amy McManus (@camouflageandbalayage) transformed her client's virgin hair into a beautiful caramel balayage. Here's how she achieved the look:
Get the Look:
- Paint using Oligo Extra Blonde Lightener and Balay Powder equal parts mixed with 40 volume developer.
- Insulate with Framarint balayage film and process for 60 minutes
- Toned with Paul Mitchell PM Shines. One part each of the following: 6Nb, 6Ng, 9Nb, 9N for 20 minutes.
