Recently at the Critics Choice Awards, Lily James, was styled by celebrity hairstylist Halley Brisker using Nexxus innovations including the new Unbreakable Care Range.
According to Brisker, the inspiration for the style was a slight nod to Audrey Hepburn with a classic paired back feel to compliment the outfit and its silhouette.
Here is how Brisker styled James:
Step 1: Begin with clean damp hair and select a deep side parting. Next, work through with some Nexxus Unbreakable Care Root Lift Hair Thickening Spray (roots to ends) and then a wipe down with Prep & Protect Leave In Spray.
Step 2: With a medium round brush work through section by section and create a nice beveled blowout to ensure the finished texture isn't too sleek and sharp. When you reach your bangs at the front, you should switch to a small round brush and really work them up and forward giving major root lift and some side sweep which will help for styling later. This bang area can be saturated again with Nexxus Unbreakable Care Root Lift Hair Thickening Spray to really hold it firm; clip away when done.
Step 3: Then, with the rest of the hair that has been blown out, pull this with a medium tension back into a low ponytail and secure with a hooked bungee. Then, with some bobby pins fashion and place into two or three deconstructed rolls… ensure to have fun with this and don't stick to any rules, it just needs to be an aesthetically pleasing shape and you can really mess with it while spraying pieces into place.
Step 4: Now back to the bangs! They should be nicely rolling forward from the prep done before so a little teasing at the roots and let them fall into place and across your forehead before arranging into just the right shape and spray with MAXXIMUM Finishing Mist to hold the shape.
