Get the Look: Alice & Olivia’s SS24 Presentation at NYFW

 

Inspired by Truman Capote’s Swans, lead hair stylist Matthew Curtis and Sola Salons Beauty Professionals used Living Proof Hair Care products to create pearl and crystal encrusted buns, 60’s Twists, and ribbon-adorned up dos for Alice & Olivia’s SS24 Presentation at NYFW.

Here’s how to achieve the look at home and what Living Proof products to use:

The Ballroom Bun

High buns encrusted with crystals and peals; or playfully adorned with ribbon

1. Using a flat iron, bend some texture into hair and create a center part.
2. Create two ponytails. One at the nape of the neck and one at the crown. Use Living Proof Full Dry Volume & Texture Spay to create soft texture.
3. Rope braid the two ponytails using Living Proof No Frizz Smooth Styling Serum and slightly pull rope braid apart
4. Pin two rope braids to create a voluminous, center bun.
5. Adorn bun with pearls, crystal encrusted bobby pins, or tie a grosgrain ribbon around the finished bun.

The 60’s Twist

Low ponytails with lots of volume

1. Section hair from behind the ear to behind the ear.
2. Tease hair at the crown using Living Proof Full Dry Volume & Texture Spray to create height.
3. Create a side part and pull sides into a low pony.
4. Finish with Living Proof Style Lab Flex Hairspray.
