Wahl Professional recently unveiled Wahl 1919, a new men’s grooming line developed by in-house experts and the Wahl Education and Artistic Team (WEAT). The collection celebrates 100 years of Wahl Professional’s mission of innovation and quality which started with their introduction of the first practical electric hair clipper in 1919.
The new line consists of 11 products for men’s hair, beard and skin that come in easy-to-use squeezable tubes and containers with pumps. Notable formulas include a No-Sting Foam aftershave, a peppermint-infused Cleansing Shampoo, a Firm Hold Gel, a 3-in-1 Hair and Body Wash and more. Wahl 1919 Product Manager and Co-Creator Allan Vodicka says WEAT member Kristi Faulkner came up with the idea for a foam aftershave that’s easier than liquid to apply and control, and member Juan Ramos insisted on a shampoo that gently yet effectively removes product residue from the hair.
“The Wahl 1919 grooming line gives barbers and stylists the ability to use Wahl Professional’s quality products on their clients from start to finish,” says Anne Marie Kollias, Wahl Professional’s U.S. director of sales and marketing. Each individual item can be purchased on Wahl’s website, and professionals can buy an introductory kit with all the full-sized products for a discounted price. The kit comes with its own point of sale materials, making for an easy setup for restocking desired products at your salon or barbershop.
