Angus Mitchell Challenges Salons to Help Victims of the Missouri Tornadoes

On Sunday, July 10, Angus Mitchell and his Angus Mitchell Salon ~ Beverly Hills staff will be holding a ‘Tornado Relief Cut-A-Thon’ to help the American Red Cross raise money for the victims of the recent Joplin, Missouri tornado.  The tornado's effects hit particularly close to home for the salon: the family of staff hair designer David Dennis had their home destroyed as a result of the disaster.  All proceeds from the cut-a-thon, which will last from 10am to 2pm and feature discounted services and celebrity guests, will be going directly to the American Red Cross’ relief efforts in Joplin.

Not only is Mitchell doing his part to help, but he's issued a challenge to other salons to join in on the effort. “We hope that every salon professional will join in at your own salons to help make a difference in the lives of those needy Joplin residents," said Mitchell, who also co-owns the Paul Mitchell Systems brand. To learn more about how you and your salon team can help the victims of Joplin and other natural disasters, please contact a local American Red Cross or visit www.RedCross.org.
