Beauty Changes Lives Foundation Announces Vidal Sassoon Scholarship Winners

The Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) Foundation is helping the Vidal Sassoon legacy live on by funding education for the next generation of hairdressers; also a perfect way to commemorate the beauty icon’s passing one year ago today. “Vidal was a visionary who made the art and craft of hair design integral to the beauty and fashion industry,” said Reuben Carranza, CEO of Wella Professionals North America. “Our foundation grant and this scholarship program allow his passion and creativity to live on by educating future high-achieving professionals.”

The first round of 20 Vidal Sassoon Professional Beauty Education Program winners were announced at the Spring Operations Conference of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools last week. Ten basic students receive scholarships to cover 50 percent of their tuition costs at their cosmetology school of choice and ten licensed hairdressers each receive $5,000 to use for coursework at Sassoon Academies, all thanks to a $1.5 million grant established by Wella Professionals.
