Keratin Complex lead stylist Woody Michleb masterfully created runway looks during Style Fashion Week, which took place October 14–18 in Los Angeles. Designer Malan Breton opened the show, featuring the SS’16, which was based on patterns and colors he saw while visiting Taiwan.
“The hair for Malan Breton was sleek—parted down the middle into a low pony with hair wrapped around the base, giving it a structured eastern feel,” Michleb reveals. “The rest of the hair was designed with a soft wave, mimicking the color patterns and providing a western vibe.”
The “Style Me Pink” celebrity fashion show benefitted Susan G. Komen and honored those affected by breast cancer. Various celebrities, influencers and survivors walked the runway in pink, white and floral couture, showing their support for the cause. One of the celebrities Michleb styled was actress AnnaLynne McCord, on whom he created glamorous, voluminous curls.
“For the ‘Style Me Pink’ show, the inspiration was based on each individual dress, so every style was customized,” says Michleb. “We wanted to make the hair interesting and formal, while keeping the looks fresh and youthful with ponytails, braids and details mixed throughout.
