Business in Barcelona

Beautiful Barcelona will serve as the host city for the 2006 Global Salon Business Forum & Awards, slated for June 3 to 6, 2006. This education and networking seminar, which addresses business management, leadership, marketing and technology, kicks off with an opening ceremony held at the famed stadium used during the 1992 Summer Olympics.

The momentum builds further at the beautiful Palau de la Musica Catalana-Petit Palau, where dynamic presentations led by talented business luminaries will take place. The roster includes Dr. J.P. Pawliw-Fry, who will talk about The "EQ" Factor: Nurturing Your Emotional Intelligence To Maximize Performance"; senior associate dean Dr. Alfred E. Osborne of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, who will touch upon salon strategy; Sala Martin, Columbia University professor of economics, who will discuss globalization and small businesses; Whitaker International's Fatima Whitaker, who will delve into lifestyle marketing; Llongueras International's LuEDs Llongueras, who will speak on artistry and Inspiration; and author, Bumble & bumble president/CEO Michael Gordon, who will debut the international film premiere of Hair Heroes.

Another highlight will be a rare appearance by entrepreneurial icon Vidal Sassoon, who will share his wisdom in a presentation on entrepreneurial spirit and who will also receive the 2006 Entrepreneurial Achievement Award. Tickets to attend the 2006 event are limited, so beauty pros are encouraged to register early by visiting www.salonbusinessawards.com.
