Anna Nelson of Fairfield, CA, got to attend Mercedes-Benz Fall 2010 Fashion Week in New York City after winning CND's first online nail competition. Nelson's animal print design, one of 650 entries posted to cnd.com and voted on by fans, incorporated CND's Colour & Effects using a combination of Oilslick, Ice Blue Shimmer and Sapphire Sparkle.
Nelson's VIP Fashion Week experience included attending hot shows like Hervé Leger, Diego Binetti, Twinkle and Karen Walker with CND cofounder and Style Director Jan Arnold. She also apprenticed with talented CND nail professionals Roxanne Valinoti, Angi Wingle, and Kristina Estabrooks backstage at Diego Binetti, Twinkle and The Blonds, and got the chance to visit the CND nail studio to get an inside look at the intense Fashion Week nail preparation.
"Beauty comes first, art second," says Nelson, a professional hairdresser who creates magnificent nail art in her free time. "Nails are a treasure where you can incorporate design, color and technique into a fashionable finish."
