In an American Salon exclusive, Mary Brunetti and Robin Capili merge traditional cuts with barbering techniques to lift men’s grooming to new heights.

Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach, NY was the perfect site for Mary Brunetti and Robin Capili to pilot an emerging trend in men’s grooming. “These days, men’s hair has detoured in a new direction,” Brunetti says. “Tight backs and sides, fades, longer layered tops are pairing with clipper cuts, which is why barbers like Robin are returning to salons for more training.” The result is a blending and synergy between both sensibilities and a fresh new outlook for styles. “Menswear is making headlines on the runways and because hair follows fashion, our industry has answered the call,” Brunetti adds. “This is an exciting time for our industry, and I personally couldn’t be happier!”
