David Lopez Joins the Ulta Beauty Pro Team

David Lopez

Ulta Beauty tapped David Lopez, celebrity hairstylist and Kenra Professional Artist, to join its Pro Team. Lopez, who was trained in the French technique of haircutting, also has expertise in nongendered self-care. He built his career working with a number of brands and in top salons in New York City, and counts Chrissy Teigen, Ashley Graham and Anne Hathaway as clients.

What makes Lopez unique is his passion for inclusivity—he believes that beauty is for everyone, regardless of gender, age or ethnicity. He will partner with the Pro Team to continue to provide a welcoming environment for all of Ulta Beauty’s stylists and guests. “The Pro Team has made great strides in providing industry awareness and education for our stylists, and we know that this will advance even further with the experience and expertise that David brings to the team,” says Kecia Steelman, Ulta Beauty’s chief store operations officer.

“As a leader in artistry, education and career opportunities, we are proud to welcome David as a mentor to our stylists with the ultimate goal of providing exceptional experiences for our guests,” says Nick Stenson, Ulta Beauty’s vice president of salon services and trend.

Lopez will work closely with Stenson, Carver, as well as with the other members of the Pro Team.
