One of Maria Bonita Salon & Spa’s most requested in-salon treatments, the Envix Premium Line 20-in-1 Hair Masque, is now available for retail. The formula, a concentrated, nutrient-rich cocktail of 20 proteins, amino acids, vitamins and natural active ingredients, is virtually the same as the wholesale product, offering consumers salon-strength results from the comfort of home.
The blend of silk protein, collagen, vitamin E, seaweed and ceramides, among other ingredients, is formulated to immediately impart strength, shine, softness and protection to any type of hair. “The demand was so high for a take-home product,” Fernanda Lacerda, owner of Maria Bonita, says. “I had so many clients asking to buy the bottles. I had to tell them no! Finally they can.”
I was recently invited to the SoHo, New York location to test out the salon treatment: a relaxing shampoo, condition and application, followed by a soothing half-hour under heat with the salon’s Patricia Flores. As opposed to the at-home treatment, which takes anywhere from 3-15 minutes, the entire in-salon process lasts close to an hour from start to finish, and includes heating and a scalp massage for deeper penetration.
