January Jones is known for her amazing retro style as Betty Draper on Mad Men, but for the Golden Globes, she walked the red carpet with a daring and modern look. Taking inspiration from Jones' dramatic Lanvin gown, celebrity stylist Mark Townsend created a head-turning updo that features a sleek black ribbon headband. "As soon as I saw the dress I knew I wanted to put her hair up," said Townsend, "Adding the satin ribbon as a headband gave a classic French twist with a very modern edge."
Townsend applied a small amount of Moroccanoil Treatment to Jones' damp hair for added shine and silkiness and blow-dried it with a round brush. When the hair was dry, he took a dollop of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and finger-combed it through the hair to give it a soft hold and leave the hair extremely smooth. Finally, he gathered the hair into a French twist and secured with about 10 bobby pins. He finished her chic style with a satin ribbon as a headband.
