Even the most beautiful salons often have boring manicure areas. While good service is essential to keeping clients loyal, great design can get them in the chair to begin with. Jill Espinosa, a sales design consultant in Belvedere's Atlanta showroom, points out that location is also important. "Place the manicure area near the entrance so that clients can see that you offer nail services." Espinosa gives us her tips on making the manicure area really stand out.

ADD A TOUCH OF CLASS. "Enhance the nail table with a top made of stone or glass," Espinosa suggests. "This will give the manicure area a more luxurious look and feel."
GO TO THE BAR. Espinosa has been seeing a lot of salons employing the concept of a nail bar as opposed to individual tables. "This is more interactive and it's great for small groups who want to have services done together," she says.
